A good medium ruby red color. Sexy, super-ripe aromas and flavors of crystallized red cherry, blackberry liqueur and figs. Hints of the forest floor; mushrooms and herbs. Plush, pliant and perfumed, firm and silky tannins, not over complex but creamy and already delicious. The finish is long and persistent and has juicy flavors of black cherry and licorice that impart an almost candied ripeness.

Established in 2000 and nurtured with the dedicated passion of Jessica Pellegrini, a wine lover and one woman powerhouse, Fattoria del Pino is a new winery, a tiny jewel in Montalcino. The winery is located on the west hillside of Montosoli one of the most sought after locations in Montalcino. Only a few wineries sit on this hillside slope. The zone is highly recognized for having the best fruit and best juice because of the unique pocket micro climate that occurs there, it produces some of the most highly recognized wines of the appellation. This location allows Fattoria del Pino to harvest very precious grapes, always selected by hand and at the right moment in time so that they will express their true elegance in the bottle. Jessica’s approach both in the vineyard and the cellar, is extremely natural. Organic practices, using only natural fertilization without chemical products in the vineyards. In the cellar the wines are fermented in the traditional way, the fermentation takes place spontaneously triggered only by indigenous yeasts, without temperature control or oxygenation. Just wines traditionally made with respect and love with what mother nature has given aged for 3 years.
